How to create a ringtone with ToneBee's Online Ringtone Maker
In order to make a ringtone you need to create an account with us. If you already have then please login first.
Click on the "make your ringtone" button at the top of each page. Alternatively you can enter the URL http://www.tonebee.com/ringtone_maker.html into your browser.
As soon as you click "make your ringtone" you will get the following popup prompt that will ask you to verify that you want to run our ringtone maker > ensure that you have the "Always trust content from this publisher" checked > click "Run".
Once the ToneBee online ringtone maker has fully loaded > press "Load" to open an existing MP3 you have on your computer.
Another popup screen will appear through which you'll need to find the MP3 you want to create a ringtone from. Once you've found it > double click on it OR press "Open"
Upon loading your MP3 the ToneBee ringtone maker will generate the waveform for the song and try to extract details of the song using its ID3 tags. Some MP3s don't have these in which case you'll notice on the bottom right hand corner a "Song Fingerprint" indicator which has a red X next to it, indicating that the song has not been identified. If this happens you'll need to search for the song against our database by entering relevant details in the Song and Artist name fields > press the "Search" button > click on the search result that matches the song you have loaded.
Now that your MP3 song has been successfully loaded and identified (notice that the Song Fingerprint indicator now has a green tick vs. a red cross next to it) > move the orange clip marker to the segment of the song you want to use for your ringtone > click "Save"
Some key functions will help you find your perfect clip:
Orange clip marker - can be moved left to right by clicking and dragging the top border to any other section of the song. The Start and End of the clip can either be adjusted by moving the left and right borders with your mouse or clicking on the Start and End adjust buttons on the bottom.
The Play button - allows you to play the whole song from start to finish.
"Play Selection" button - plays the portion of the song you have selected with the clip marker.
Red Playhead - shows the progress of the playing of the song. Dragging it left or right acts like a rewind and fast forward respectively.
Clicking "Save" will bring up a final prompt that will require that you define a name for your new ringtone file creation > click "Save" > transfer your new ringtone file to your phone.
