What are CutCodes?
CutCodes are proprietery ToneBee templates, that form part of the Patent Pending Ringtone Creation and Transmission
Technology from ToneBee for creating ringtones. CutCodes make ringtone creation easier by allowing
you to use ringtone templates created by other users for the same song you want to create a ringtone for.
CutCodes are created by users of ToneBee like you, when you create a ringtone for a song. If no one has created a
ringtone for a song before, there won't be any CutCodes for that song, and your ringtone template will appear as the
first CutCode for that song.
CutCodes will appear below the name of a song in the search screen of the Ringtone Maker (see image below).
How are CutCodes used?
Once you identify the song in the ToneBee database and have selected it (the fingerprint marker will turn to a green tick to
indicate that you have fingerprinted or identified the song in the ToneBee database), any CutCodes associated with that song
will appear below the selected song name. Click on a CutCode to apply that template to your song. This will mark the selected
CutCode with a green arrow on the left to indicate it has been selected and move the Preview Window of the Ringtone Maker to
that portion of the song represented by the CutCode.
You can either save the ringtone represented by a CutCode or use that as a starting point and create a new CutCode by moving
the Preview Window to the desired position and saving the ringtone.
